Last week at pack meeting, Cole made a goal with us to finish all the requirements for his Bobcat in one week. Last night we did the last of the requirements so that he was ready for den meeting tonight. All he needs to do now is have his den leader sign off. So if anyone wants to know the Cub Scout motto, handshake, or law, Cole's your man. :) The only bummer is that his den leader was sick tonight, so he didn't get to have it all signed off tonight, but at least he did his part. He's already started working on his Wolf, so we're pretty proud of him for that too. We think it will be cool if he gets his Bobcat and a progress towards rank bead at pack meeting this month.
In addition to doing well in scouts, Cole has also decided that he is going to be baptized. Unfortunately, our stake does baptisms once a month and by the time the next one rolls around, he and the girls will be gone for the summer. But he's planning on being baptized the first weekend in August if anyone is going to be around (and for Jason's family, he's supposed to call you and let you know but I'm sure he's forgotten, but at least there's a couple months notice for you).

Good for you Cole. YOu know I am the wolf den leader in our pack and I love it. The wolves are the eager beavers, I love getting a new boy in the den.(and Jessica, I give my boys a welcome package about 1 month before their 8th birthday and encourage them to buy the uniform and the book prior to joining so the boy can be ready with the Bobcat stuff at their first initial meeting) Bears are a little harder to work with because they get a little bored during the second year, but they also have lots more chances to try new things (like pocketknives) But Cameron doesn't have a choice, with Grandma as a den leader, he overacheives in the scouting department since I know every badge or award he can earn and I use his book & our book to help me decide what our den is going to work on. He does love earning the belt loops because they are easy to earn and there is such a wide variety of catergories to choose from, they cover every boys favorite subjects or sports. But Cameronn is just one week away from being a Webelo and he can't wait to move on. Hopefully Cole will get to attend a day camp (we had ours during spring break because of heat of summer) because that is a blast and that is the only place they can earn archery and bb guns awards (which they love). Keep up the good work Cole.
