End of the year
I can't believe it, but tomorrow is the last day of school for my kids. This year went by so fast. And I know I say that every year, but it seems that they go by faster each year and it takes me by surprise. With the end of the school year taking me by surprise, I didn't really have a lot of time to make teacher gifts. The only things I could come up with either I had done them already or my teacher that I bounce ideas off of (aka my mom) didn't think it was the best idea for an end of the year gift (beginning of the year, I might have to do it though). So I ended up with the standby of gift cards--at least I know that's something they can always use. However, being the person that I am, I couldn't just send the gift card to school in a card or bag or anything normal like that. I had seen this idea a long time ago, so I decided it was time to attempt to make them.
I think they turned out pretty cute. After I took the pics, I also used my label maker to label each teacher's name to the bag cause I thought that was cute, but I didn't think they would appreciate my posting their names all over the internet.

Those are absolutely darling- nice job. We have a mom in our ward who always does things like that (homemade and darling gifts) for the teachers, the mailman, the bus drivers, etc. My drivers would always fight over that route, they loved those holiday gifts!
those are super adorable!!!
I wish I had a parent who would do something like that for me! Oh, just a thank you would be nice, too (it doesn't even have to be written!). Right now, with the way our district is treating teachers, I feel very unappreciated. And since our PTA president is one of the teachers (I was the president last year), our principal said he would promote Teacher Appreciation week and he didn't. The other idea would be great for the beginning of the year, Jess! Might even be nice to take to Meet the Teacher Night! But these did turn out really cute. You'll have to share the pattern with me next time I'm there.
