Growing up so quick
Today is a very special day for our family. Nine years ago, Cole decided to join our family a couple weeks before we were expecting him. His delivery was the hardest for me (if you can call it hard, it lasted maybe five or six hours and I think I pushed for thirty minutes), and they even had to use the vacuum to get him out. From the moment he got here, he's been the sweetest little mama's boy and remains so to this day. Cole is my little soul mate--stuck between two girls that are close in age, I know how he feels and what he's going through as the middle child. Lately he's been making some really excellent choices that have thrilled me to the bone. Nothing mind blowing, of course, but it's the little things. This has been a crazy week and so I asked him to get his homework done yesterday so it would be done before Lindsay's play. About fifteen minutes later, he comes to me with it completed--I was shocked. I asked him why he did his hw when I asked him to. His response? Because I thought it would be the right thing to do. Like I said, nothing mind blowing, but the difference in my son between this year and last year are astronomical. I love this little boy more than I could ever say and want to wish him a very happy ninth birthday. I love you buddy!
